Welcome to Synapse School

We created Synapse School with the goal of unleashing the minds and nurturing the hearts of students with high potential– so they can use their gifts to benefit the world.

Synapse School, an independent elementary and middle school, is dedicated to the development and realization of a progressive and caring learning community that is anchored in neuroscience. By inspiring young minds, igniting potential, and initiating change, Synapse School empowers highly inquisitive, passionate, talented, and intellectually driven learners.

Students learn and practice emotional intelligence skills in tandem with cognitive pursuits in order to make optimal use of their gifts and talents.

In a dynamic, experiential, accelerated, and supportive education environment, students learn to construct knowledge, develop insight, connect reality with theory, and transfer information into new settings. Project-based activities are anchored to research and finding solutions for a better world. The focus of learning is in understanding rather than memorizing information. Students learn by formulating questions to guide scholarly and experiment and research oriented activities.

Research-Based Curriculum for the Whole Child

Synapse Institute is a lab school charged with the development of holistic, rich, and dynamic curriculum that connects and applies educational theories, best practices, and neuroscience research in engaging learning activities, emotional intelligence skills, and individualized learning goals.
